My painting the " Prayer Plant" has been selected as a finalist in the Best of Acrylic Art Competion. A special Edition of the Artists Magazine with all the competition winners is scheduled to hit the newsstands in September 2024.

I have a painting in the Vancouver Salon at the FCA that runs from June 17th to July 8th followed by the Abstracted Show which runs from July 8 to the 28th. I had 3 of my paintings accepted into the Abstracted Show. The painting above is called " The Lonely Pear".

This painting called " The Prayer Plant " is currently showing at the Oil and Water Show in South Delta. This show ends on June 23rd. Check the website of the SDAG to see the paintings on line and also find out when the 1710 Gallery hours are. It looks like a fabulous show.

"On the Edge" is the Federation's annual challenge for Artists to test their limits and push their creative boundaries. Featuring international artists, this exhibition highlights artworks made by those who are working and thinking a little differently.

I am very excited to announce my new collaboration @Banu_Magnifique for the 2023 International Wown's day:a new Canadian fashion line that works with artists and transforms art into ecofirendly chiffon scarves. With vibrant designs, the goal is to support artists, inspire positivity and improve mental well-being. On top of that, 2% of the proceeds goes to Anxiety Canada.

This month I have had paintings in Two FCA Shows the Artists Choice show and The Shape and Form Show which is still on until March 6th.

I also sold the painting in the Artists Choice Show (Still Life Green and White as well as two other painting from my individual gallery on the FCA site.

In addition the painting above won 3rd Place in the Shape and Form Show.

It has been a good month for me.

A new service is in development by the FCA. Clicking on the new website above ,then menu will allow you to browse art by FCA member artists. You can browse by painting description and size etc and also search for an individual artist by name. As said it is still in development but currently by searching my name you will be able to find some of my artwork, both present and older pieces that are available for sale. More information to follow in the future.

The Small artwork Collection can be found in the Federation of Canadian Artists Gallery on Granville Island. The artwork is more affordable and can be found in a couple of "bins" in the gallery and is not part of the various rotating shows on the gallery walls. This painting was accepted into the Abstracted Show at the FCA Gallery on Granville Island.

I will be doing a demonstration of Collage Techniques for the Fraser Valley Chapter

I will be having a Solo Show for 3 weeks at this wonderful gallery on the waterfront in West Vancouver. I hope to see lots of people there - please mark the reception date June 26th 6 to 8 pm in your calendar.

I had 2 paintings accepted in this show. The reception was May 31st. It is a lovely exhibition with a wide variety of paintings so if you have a chance it is worthwhile to go and see.

This painting was selected to appear in the FCA Signature Metal Show (AFCA) It is called "On the Catwalk"

I have two paintings in this show which will run until November 26th.

I just had the above painting accepted in the Second Annual Members ONLINE Show with ISAP and have now achieved signature status with this organization.

I have had 4 paintings selected for this show. It is being held at Gallery 1710 in Tsawassen. Check out the SDAG website for hours the gallery will be open. Over 80 paintings will be displayed.

One of my paintings has been included in Acrylicworks4 which has just been published and will be available very soon.

Peony Tulips Acrylic Collage on Wood Panel 20" x 20"

I will be doing a 2 hour workshop from 10am to 12pm in the North Van Opus store

This event is a celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Federation of Canadian Artists. It will be held on Granville Island at Performance Works. More information can be found on the FCA website. The Opening Gala will be on Thursday September 29th from 6 to 8 pm.

The Painting is called Magnolia. It is my donation to this years fundraising event for the Federation of Canadian Artists.
This painting won First Prize in the Foliage and Flowers Show and was featured on the cover of the May/June issue of Art Avenue.

Plan to come and see some of my artwork in a 2 person show called "Bold Abstracts" at the Ferry Building in West Vancouver running from August 30th to September 18th. The other artist that I will be showing with is Marlene Louden from the Sunshine Coast. More information to follow later.

I will be doing a 3 day Collage/Mixed Media workshop in Calgary in April from the 22nd to the 24th.
