I recently gave a 3 day workshop in Calgary with 20 wonderful women. It was a terrific group to work with, lots of fun and creativity in the room and I certainly learned a lot as well. I told the group at the beginning that I would try to role model how to make mistakes and I certainly did that. One of the problems many of us had was painting over some of the papers we made in order to pull the final painting together and I was no exception to that. So I brought home a painting that I had started that was not "working"and tried to improve it. The Before and After are below.
I also demonstrated a torn paper collage on Sunday and did not have time enough to finish it during the workshop - but the "almost" completed Cheetah is below. I am hoping that I will be able to share paintings of these workshop participants in a future blog post.
