I am in the final stages of getting my paintings ready for our April show which includes the framing and some final touch ups to some of the paintings. When I went to do some minor changes to "Stalking the Wild Ostrich I realized I was not happy with the saturated orange sunset sky. The rules for clothing on safari are no bright clothes and no black or dark blue. So there is a lot of beige, earth tones and pastels which is what the 3 women in the photograph are wearing. It was also early dusk so the actual sky was not that intense orange --- so I harmonized the painting with a more pastel feel and toned down the sky. See what you think.
