Please check out the travelling art exhibition put on by the GoGo's for African Grandmothers as part of fundraising for the Stephen Lewis foundation. There are 40 paintings and textile art pieces in this lovely show, I donated the painting below called Grandmother Zimbabwe.

We hung the show yesterday and opened today. Here is some photo's of the gallery and of my paintings. There is lots to see in this show.

I am in the final stages of getting my paintings ready for our April show which includes the framing and some final touch ups to some of the paintings. When I went to do some minor changes to "Stalking the Wild Ostrich I realized I was not happy with the saturated orange sunset sky. The rules for clothing on safari are no bright clothes and no black or dark blue. So there is a lot of beige, earth tones and pastels which is what the 3 women in the photograph are wearing. It was also early dusk so the actual sky was not that intense orange --- so I harmonized the painting with a more pastel feel and toned down the sky. See what you think.
